Bircher Muesli

Serves: 6-8

Ingredients:

1 cup rolled oats
1 cup untoasted muesli
1 cup wheatbran
1 1/2 cups boiling water
3 tablespoons CAPILANO lemon honey
2 granny smith apples cored and grated
200 grams low fat vanilla yoghurt
1/3 cup almonds
1 tablespoon linseeds
extra CAPILANO honey and fresh fruit to serve

Method:

1. Add oats, muesli and bran to a large bowl and stir.
2. Pour over water and CAPILANO Lemon & Honey and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

3. Remove bowl from fridge and add apples, yoghurt, almonds and linseeds. Stir thoroughly then cover with cling wrap and refrigerate overnight.
4. Serve with fresh sliced fruit and an extra drizzle of CAPILANO lemon honey. This will keep covered in fridge for 5 days.

Notes:

• Very high in fibre.
• Good source of Omega 3 fatty acids.
• The taste of the muesli becomes stronger over time.
• Makes 8 1/2 cup serves (1 weeks worth of breakfasts).
